Leo Murray
Leo is co-founder and director of innovation at Possible. He has been working on transport and climate issues since 2006. In July 2019 he produced a report for progressive think tank Common Wealth setting out a compelling vision for car-free cities by 2030, titled Away With All Cars, which was widely covered in print and broadcast media. Leo In 2015 Leo conceived and established the frequent flyer levy concept as a credible policy option for managing growing emissions from aviation, and in 2017 he demonstrated that his idea for powering electrified railways directly with solar PV is both technically feasible and commercially attractive.
Leo was named as one of 1000 most influential Londoners by the Evening Standard newspaper in October 2019, following the worldwide impact of the Trump Baby blimp, which he created. Leo is currently serving as a member of the UK government's independent advisory Net Zero Transport Board.
